Massage Types:

Trigger Point Massage:

Known also as myotherapy, this type of massage alleviates the source of pain using cycles of isolated pressure and release.

A trigger point is a tight area within muscle tissue that causes pain in other parts of the body.  The pain may be sharp and intense or a dull ache. The results and benefits of trigger point massage are releasing constricted areas in the muscles,  the elimination of toxins in the muscles and the release of energizing endorphins thus alleviating pain. It is possible to experience a significant decrease in pain after just one treatment.

Anti Cellulite Massage (falls into three main categories) :

Lympho Drainage Massage: This is considered the first step in anti cellulite massage. The purpose is to remove excess fluid and toxins and improve the lymph flow and overall toning of the body. This massage effectively refines body shape and leg heaviness/density.

Honey Massage: Considered a type of soft tissue massage, honey massage is one of the best and most effective remedies for cellulite. It has been tested by many women of different ages and they all have had great success with it. Honey massage is an amazing rejuvenating treatment that also helps to cleanse your body from the toxic cellular waste products, and lose inches around your thighs.

Cupping Massage: By creating suction and vacuum pressure cupping is used to soften tight muscles and tone attachments, loosen adhesions and lift connective tissue, bring hydration and blood flow to body tissues, move deep inflammation to the skin surface for release and drain excess fluids and toxins by opening lymphatic pathways.

Russian Deep Tissue Massage:

Russian Deep tissue massage is similar to Swedish massage but is used to target knots and release chronic muscle tension.  Benefits include reducing inflammation and helping eliminating scar tissue.  The focus is on the deepest layers of muscle tissue, tendons, and fascia (the protective layer surrounding muscles, bones and joints). Russian Deep tissue massage uses movements across the grain of the muscles, not with the grain as in Swedish massage. 

Note: The more intense movements and techniques such as deep finger pressure may be slightly uncomfortable and cause soreness that lasts a couple of days before resulting in the desired relaxation and pain relief.

Facial /Anti Aging Massage:

A facial massage is good for many reasons. Massage helps to exfoliate the skin, removing dirt and dead skin cells that make your skin look dull. It also increasses the circulation of blood around and to the face, making the skin more nourished and giving it a healthy glow. The elasticity of the skin is also improved and wrinkles and the fine lines associated with aging are removed.
